We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our members, supporters and web site visitors. We believe you have the right to privacy. This policy sets out how we will treat your personal information. Our privacy document follows the Data Protection Act (1998) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We collect information about you:
(1) When you give it to us DIRECTLY:You may give us your personal data when you sign an online form, paper form, online petition, paper petition; when you share information about Assra from our website or Facebook, Twitter and/or via email, when you apply for employment with us, when you apply to volunteer with us, when you contact us by phone, email or post, when you buy anything from our online shop and/or when you donate money to us or contribute membership subscription. We use standardised online sign up forms and petitions that allow you to opt in and out of communication with Assra. We have strict internal policies processes regarding access to and handling of your personal data. We work hard to keep your data safe and secure.
(2) When you give it to us INDIRECTLY:Your information may be shared with us by others including users of our services, independent event organisers, other fundraising entities, sponsors and supporters of our organisation and services. Membership & donations: privacy and cancellation
All our donations and membership subscription transactions are handled through our payment services providers, Stripe (Stripe Privacy) and DonorBox (Donorbox Privacy). You should only provide your personal information to Stripe and Donorbox after reviewing their respective privacy policies. We will share information with Stripe and Donorbox only to the extent necessary for the purposes of processing payments you make via our website.
To cancel your subscription via Donorbox or Stripe you may submit a request by contacting .moc.liamg%40kugroarssaaramah Please allow 14 days for us to process your request. We have a refund policy in case you make a donation in error. If you contact us within 7 days of making the donation we will return it to you within 40 days without charge.
In addition to the disclosures reasonably necessary for the purposes identified elsewhere in this privacy notice, we will disclose information about you only when required to do so by law.
